Activities Based On Subject Verb Agreement

A simple way to reinforce or introduce the agreement between the subject and the verb is to give students a quick reading passage filled with different examples. Next, students must quickly scan the text and highlight themes and verbs. Then you can compare the examples found with a partner and finally with the whole class. Then tell a subject and the student must make a sentence with that topic, along with their verb and then finish the sentence one way or another. Easy, but effective! Then the teacher says a subject and the basic form of a verb (he eats). The student must write it correctly (he eats). Then the next student has to finish the sentence.
